[Opinion] Situational awareness and the WEF
I'm looking for situational awareness ... ... looking ... looking Alas none. One of these days, situational awareness might actually warrant inclusion by the World Economic Forum as a skill that might be helpful with technological, economic, social and political landscapes. At least I can take comfort in knowing that the armed forces recognise its importance for territory (i.e. the environmental landscape).

X : Could we not triangulate its position by connecting dots between systems thinking, strategic foresight, and critical analysis?
Me : The problem with systems thinking, strategic foresight, and critical analysis is they can get wrapped up in the world of story telling / narrative by big name consultancies rather than any form of situational awareness / maps of landscapes.
On a more positive note, continued avoidance of the topic increases the probability that China will move forward and dominate. Why positive? Well, at least they have a society that pushes forward the concepts of REN.
We might yet get our Star Trek Federation, it'll just be run out of Beijing. I can accept that.
